After April 8, 2014, your XP computer will no longer receive automatic updates that help protect your personal data. Even if you have anti-virus software, your computer will still not be fully secure.

Damnit, that means my MCSE 2003 also essentially expires.

All of this panic over the end of support for XP has me amused. End of support hasn't scared me before, and it won't scare me now.

Kinja'd!!!

For the record, I'm running Windows XP (not pictured), Windows 2000, Windows 98SE, and Windows 3.1 on some of my computer fleet; all of them connected to the internet excluding the Windows 3.1 computer. I haven't had a problem with 2000, 98, or 3.1 after support ended, and I don't expect to have a problem with XP, either. As long as you are smart while browsing, you shouldn't have a problem.

And I win! they can stuff their MCSE. Only the telephone techs have called my bluff. I just decline the job and their warranty part fix gets delayed.

Oh, and XP runner. Works fine for my work laptop, well, no choice.

"Even if you have anti-virus software, your computer will still not be fully secure."

And Window 7 or 8 or 9 or whatever you're up to now IS? LOL!
I'll keep XP for a while, or till Android can multitask.

I'll keep XP, thank you, until they give out 7 for free.
